COVID UPDATE: 7/17/2020
We know how vital swim lessons and swim clubs are to ensuring children are safe around water. Especially as we head into summer, we know that it is our duty to protect children. We have designed a program to meet the needs while still staying safe in these uncertain times. we will open up stroke clinics to get kids back in the water and working on their skills.
We will be offering stroke clinics in place of a full fledged swim team. Our Marlins coaches will be running our stroke clinics this summer focusing on each of the four competitive swimming strokes. Whether you would just like some extra practice on one of your strokes or you would like to take all four sessions, these clinics are designed to keep your competitive swimming skills fresh during our intermission. It is recommended that swimmers have passed Level 4 swim lessons.
Mansfield Marlins Youth Swim Club (Currently Postponed)
The Marlins Swim Club is a recreational, instruction based program that will help young swimmers develop their endurance, refine their strokes and teach new fundamentals such as flip turns and starts in the sport of swimming. Although not a competitive program, team participants will “compete” in three inter-squad scrimmages at the community center to learn more about swim meet structure and events. Marlins is a great introductory program for kids who are interested in swimming as a sport and for fitness. Currently offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays, kids should be expected to swim for one hour workouts.
The MCC is also the home facility for the E.O. Smith High School Boys and Girls Swim Teams! Go Panthers!
