Mansfield Public Library to begin curbside service

MPL 2020-05-18 122748

As the governor lifts some restrictions, and with the advice of our public health officials, we plan to offer curbside service to Mansfield residents starting May 26th. Over time, we will monitor and adjust our services based on our ability to meet the public’s needs and maintain safety. Our hope is to continue to offer more services as soon as conditions permit.

To begin, Mansfield residents only may call the library, 860-423-2501, between 10 AM - 4 PM, M-F to request materials. Calls will be accepted starting at 10 AM on Friday, May 22. People may request up to 10 books, magazines, audio books or DVDs. All items will be due in 2 weeks. We hope to expand to other items as soon as safely possible.

For everyone’s safety, all items returned to the library are quarantined for several days. Staff wears masks and gloves when handling materials.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. Again, we are hopeful that conditions will allow us to expand our services safely over time. For more information, visit the library’s web page at
