The Town Council honored the Jungden family of the Mansfield Drive-in & Marketplace with a Proclamation about their contributions (full Proclamation below).
Elena, Janet and Naomi Jungden received the Proclamation from Mayor Toni Moran and Town Council member Charles Ausburger. Michael Jungden purchased the business in 1974, and now his family continues to manage this popular family destination and Sunday morning marketplace which attracts visitors from all over the country,
As the Proclamation summarizes,
Whereas, Mansfield is lucky and proud to be the home of one of the last drive-in movie theatres in our state and in New England. It continues to bring notoriety to our community, featured regularly on statewide television and news outlets.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Antonia Moran, Mayor of Mansfield, Connecticut do hereby recognize the Mansfield Drive-in for its rich history and admirable service for our community during the COVID-19 pandemic
