Before and After School Childcare

Before and after school childcare in the Mansfield PK-4 schools is provided through partnerships with outside programs.
At the Dorothy C. Goodwin Elementary School, programming is provided by the Mansfield Before and After School Program. This program was formed in 1981 by a group of concerned individuals responding to an expressed need in Mansfield for competent and convenient after school care. For more information, contact Director Bev Seiler at 860.429.8476.
At Southeast Elementary School and Annie E. Vinton Elementary School, the Mansfield Parks and Recreation Department provides programming for before and after school care. The Before-School and After-School Friends Program offers a safe, fun, and relaxed atmosphere for children before the school day and after the school day. The program is for children whose parents want them to join special activities in a peer setting, or are unable to care for them before and after school. The program is open to students in grades K-8. Program details are in the Parks and Recreation Brochure, which is available on their web site.  For more information, please contact Jared Redmond at 860.429.3015, extension 6107, or by email at Jared.Redmond@mansfieldct.org.

In addition to the programs at Southeast and Vinton Elementary Schools, the Mansfield Parks and Recreation Department also runs the After-School Friends Program at the Mansfield Community Center. Students are bused to the Mansfield Community Center from all of the Mansfield Public Schools. The program is open to students in grades K-5. For more information about the program at the Mansfield Community Center, please contact  Jared Redmond at 860.429.3015, extension 6107, or by email at Jared.Redmond@mansfieldct.org
