Mansfield Early Care and Education
Learning Begins At the Very Beginning!
The Town of Mansfield has a long history of supporting education for all its residents. Our dedication to the children of Mansfield is evident in the high quality of our schools and childcare centers, and the active and vital involvement of residents in all education decisions. Being in the same neighborhood as the main campus of the University of Connecticut offers a rich diversity of cultures and variety of resources. Our commitment to quality education extends to the youngest of our citizens through the Mansfield Advocates for Children
(MAC). Members of this council represent a collaboration of many groups in our Town.
Brain research over the past few years has highlighted the importance of the early years. We now know that 90% of a child's brain develops before the age of 5. There are so many ways we, as a community, can be part of the healthy learning and development of our youngest residents. We hope that the Mansfield Early Care and Education site will be a helpful resource on topics related to the process of raising young children in Mansfield and accessing Early Care and Education information.
