Becoming Brilliant Book Talk:
An Evening with Ken Kay
Wednesday, November 15, 2017
Mansfield Middle School Cafeteria
Becoming Brilliant, What Science Tells Us about Raising Successful Children by Roberta Michnick Golinkoft and Kathy Hirsh-Pasek discusses how schools and parents can work together to ensure our children are prepared for the ever changing and immensely global world. The evening will be facilitated by Ken Kay, founder of EdLeader21, an organization devoted to supporting schools to address the needs of today’s learners.
Becoming Brilliant, What Science Tells Us about Raising Successful Children, reviews the science behind the development of skills our children will need for success in the 21st century. It offers practical advice for both parents and schools.
EdLeader21 hosts a national professional learning community of over 400 schools across the country working to change practices. Mansfield Public Schools is an active member of this organization.
PLEASE NOTE – You do not have to have read the book to attend. To help us plan for the evening we request you RSVP by calling your child’s school office or completing the section below. Babysitting services will be offered. Please let us know the number of children. If you did read the book, we ask that you identify 2-3 passages in the book that you might like to discuss with others.
