Trick-or-Treat in Downtown Storrs
Saturday, October 25

October 20, 2014 – The Mansfield Downtown Partnership and Storrs Center will host Trick-or-Treating in Downtown Storrs on Saturday, October 25 from 4:00 – 5:00 PM.

Children are invited to wear costumes and trick-or-treat downtown from 4:00 to 5:00 PM before heading over to the Mansfield Community Center for the Mansfield Parks and Recreation Department’s annual Halloween Party and Trick-or-Trunk. Many shops will have treats for children, including Moe’s Southwest Grill, Dog Lane Café, Subway, Insomnia Cookies, Mooyah Burgers & Fries, Geno’s Grille, The Flower Pot, The Oaks on the Square leasing office, Head Husky Barber Shop, Sweet Emotions, Select Physical Therapy, Le Petit Marché Café, the Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry, The H. A. Café, and more! Look for “Trick or Treat” signs in the windows of participating businesses.

At 5:00 PM, children and their adult(s) are encouraged to walk over to the Mansfield Community Center to continue the fun at the Annual Halloween Party and Trick-a-Trunk. Festivities at the Community Center are free and open to all ages (recommended for children ages 3-10) and will continue until 6:30 PM.

Trick-or-Treating will be rain or shine. All children should be accompanied by an adult.

Parking in the Storrs Center Garage is free for the first two hours and $1 per hour thereafter, with a daily maximum charge of $8. The Dog Lane Parking Lot offers free parking with a 2 hour limit. Handicapped parking is available in these locations as well.
