3/31/2016 - 04/02/2016: Tea More Cafe Open in Storrs Center

Tea More Café Now Open in Storrs Center

If you’re looking for a casual café that serves a healthy assortment of specialty teas and traditional Asian food, Tea More Café in Storrs Center may be just what you’re looking for. The newest addition to Storrs Center is now open at 40 Wilbur Cross Way, Suite 101.

“Tea More Café reflects our most important offering – tea!,” explains owner Anna Li. “Flower Tea, Ginger Tea, Fruit Tea, and Tea Shack with Fresh Fruit are a few of the delicious and healthy teas that we carry.” Tea More Café also offers a mix of freshly prepared Asian food, ranging from traditional Chinese Spicy Noodle Soup and Taiwanese snack boxes to simple Japanese appetizers.

As experienced restauranteurs with a café located in New York, Ms. Li and her partner, Chris Lin, were attracted to Storrs Center because of the way the new downtown is built – “just like a modern community” – and because they feel the location is a good spot for business. With the high school and UConn right across Storrs Road, the owners are counting on Tea More Café becoming an inviting place for students to study, make friends, and relax after school. “We are happy to be a new addition to Storrs Center and welcome the community to our café,” says Ms. Li.

Storrs Center is a mixed-use town center and main street corridor at the crossroads of the Town of Mansfield, Connecticut and the University of Connecticut. Located along Storrs Road adjacent to the University, the Town Hall, the regional high school, and the community center, Storrs Center knits thoughtful architecture, pedestrian-oriented streets, and public spaces into a series of small neighborhoods that make up the new fabric of the town center. Ground floor retail and commercial uses opening onto landscaped sidewalks reinforce traditional street front activity and is supported by residences above and shared community spaces.
