Assistant Animal Control Officer - Town of Mansfield
The Town of Mansfield is seeking a responsible individual for the position of part-time Assistant Animal Control Officer for the Mansfield Animal Control Division. Duties include but are not limited to: assisting with the enforcement of state statutes and town ordinances pertaining to canines and felines; impounding unlicensed and roaming canines; caring for canines and felines housed at the Animal Shelter; preparing annual canine survey. Ability to work independently, good organizational and communications skills essential. This position is part-time (25 hours per week). Salary range $18.41-$23.29/hr with a pro-rated benefits package. Must be available days, evenings, weekends and holidays and be willing to respond to emergency calls for service when needed.
Minimum requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent, valid Connecticut driver’s license, and some related experience in animal care or code enforcement required. Program Coordinator - Senior Center - Human Services Department
The Town of Mansfield is seeking a program coordinator to assist with coordinating programs for the Senior Center. Sample duties include: planning and overseeing activities and programs for older adults; scheduling activities, programs and events; assisting in the supervision of program staff and volunteers; and assisting with budget monitoring of assigned programs.
Excellent communication and customer service skills required as this is a frontline position frequently interacting directly with seniors, staff, instructors, volunteers and the general public. Position reports to the Senior Center Supervisor.
Position is full-time with benefits package. Hiring rate is $23.29-$29.35 per hour and is dependent upon the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.Candidates are required to have an associate’s degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, or a related field. Some experience working with seniors in a similar setting is highly desirable. The selected candidate will be subject to a background check.

Mansfield Community Center is currently seeking an American Red Cross certified Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) to join our aquatics team. The candidate would teach ARC community lifeguard and CPR classes as well as assist the Recreation Supervisor with aquatic team trainings and in-services. Work hours vary; pay rate is $23-$27.90 hr.
