Applications shall not be returned, but will remain on file for at least two years, after which they may be destroyed with approval from the State Records Administrator. Town of Mansfield

Library Pages/Storrs Center Ambassadors needed. The Town of Mansfield is hiring part time workers to perform various duties as assigned in the operation of the Library and the Nash-Zimmer Transportation Center including providing information for visitors, assisting with special events, trash pick-up and light cleaning, shelving library materials, and performing circulation functions.  Hourly rate is $9.60/hr. MANSFIELD DOWNTOWN PARTNERSHIP, INC.

Administrative Assistant

The Mansfield Downtown Partnership, Inc. is looking to fill an Administrative Assistant position.  This position will provide various administrative and clerical duties in support of the Executive Director as well as in support of the operations of the Nash-Zimmer Transportation Center.  Responsibilities include assisting with Partnership Board and Committee assignments, preparing correspondence, paying bills, and other general administrative duties.  In addition, the Administrative Assistant will support the Nash-Zimmer Transportation Center by staffing the Nash-Zimmer Transportation Center customer service and Library Express desk for approximately 9 hours a week.

Position is 19 hrs/wk. Hiring range is $14.58 to $16.08 per hour.  At this time there are no employee benefits provided for this position.  Candidates must possess related administrative experience as well as strong interpersonal skills.  Good computer, organizational and writing skills highly desirable, and ability to work flexible schedule is required.

PRIVATE MUSIC LESSON INSTRUCTOR

The Town of Mansfield Parks and Recreation Department is seeking professional Private Music Lesson Instructors for a variety of instruments, including voice, to provide individual and semi-private music lessons to children and adults.  Duties may include but are not limited to: providing weekly comprehensive music lessons, participating in recitals, and scheduling of lessons.  Successful applicants will have prior experience teaching music lessons or have equivalent education. Hours include weekday evenings and some weekends. This is a part-time, hourly position with no benefits.  Application review will begin immediately. Positions open until filled. Pay range is $35.00 - $45.00/hr based on experience and education. Selected candidates will be subject to a background check.

SUZUKI GUITAR and SUZUKI VIOLIN INSTRUCTORS

The Town of Mansfield Parks and Recreation Department is seeking Suzuki Instructors for the Suzuki Guitar and Violin programs. Duties may include but are not limited to: providing weekly comprehensive music lessons and weekly Suzuki group classes, participation in recitals, and scheduling of students.  Additional information about this Suzuki program can be found at www.mansfieldct.gov/CSA. Employees must be certified in the Suzuki method and provide documentation of their training level. Successful applicants will have prior experience teaching Suzuki music lessons or have equivalent education. Hours include weekday evenings and some weekends. This is a part-time, hourly position with no benefits.  Pay range is $35.00 - $45.00/hr based on experience and education. Selected candidates will be subject to a background check.

Parks and Recreation Department

Fitness Assistants

The Mansfield Parks and Recreation Department is hiring Fitness Assistants who will strive to maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment in the Mansfield Community Center fitness center for our members and guests.  Handling and lifting various weight and fitness equipment is required.

As an employee of the Town of Mansfield you will be offered a professional orientation, flexible scheduling including early morning, evening and weekend hours, comprehensive staff training, CPR and First Aid certification training, uniforms, and a fun and challenging work environment.  All Fitness Assistants must obtain and maintain a current CPR & First Aid certification.  Opportunities for certification will be provided if necessary.  This is an entry level, part-time, hourly position with no benefits.  Pay range is $9.60 - $10.73/hr. Selected candidates will be subject to a background check.

Lifeguards & Swim Instructors
Mansfield Parks & Recreation is currently accepting applications for American Red Cross Lifeguards and Swim Instructors for the Summer Season of 2016 for both open waterfront and pool lifeguarding.  All applicants must be certified in ARC Lifeguarding, CPR/AED and First Aid, both Waterfront and Water Safety Instructor certifications preferred.  Pay rates are $9.60-$11.07/hour for lifeguards and $10.23-$12.42/hour for swim instructors.  Applicants must submit an employment application online at http://www.mansfieldct.gov/jobapp. Positions open until filled.
