Applications for employment shall be accepted only for posted vacancies. Each candidate shall complete the employment application. Resumes, transcripts, certifications, and other materials may be required in order to judge the applicant's fitness for service with the Town. Applications shall not be returned, but will remain on file for at least two years, after which they may be destroyed with approval from the State Records Administrator. Human Resources may reject any application which was not filed by the announced closing date for receiving applications, unless prior to such date an extension had been publicly announced. Accountant - Accounting Division - Department of Finance

We are searching for a talented and energetic professional to join our financial management team as an accountant. Sample duties include: preparing payroll and benefit estimates and adjustments; grant administration; preparing journal entries; preparing financial statements; monitoring budgets; and assisting with internal audits.  Position provides accounting support to municipal, non-profit and educational entities. 

The preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field with professional experience in accounting.  Full-time position with benefits package. Anticipated hiring range: $48,361-57,477/yr depending on qualifications.

Laborer - Department of Public Works

The Town is looking to fill a full-time laborer position in the Department of Public Works.  The selected candidate will perform semi-skilled work in a variety of installation, construction, maintenance and repair projects, roads/streets maintenance, grounds maintenance, and work at the Transfer Station as assigned.   $21.91/hr plus benefits. Possession of a driver’s license valid in the State of Connecticut required, possession of a valid CDL A or B license preferred. Must be 18 years or older to apply. Early Childhood Services Coordinator - Youth Services Division - Human Services Department

We are searching for an interim, grant funded Early Childhood Services Coordinator for the Youth Services Division of our Human Services Department. This person is responsible for coordination, accountability and implementation of the strategies identified in Mansfield’s Plan for Young Children and administration of the Graustein Discovery and School Readiness grants.

The preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in education, social work or a related field with experience in program management, child development, early childhood education, and/or parent engagement.  30 hours per week, $26.47/hr-$28.46/hr with a pro-rated benefits package. Occasional evening and weekend work required.

Town of Mansfield - Parks and Recreation

Lifeguard Instructor 

Mansfield Community Center is currently seeking an American Red Cross certified Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) to join our aquatics team.  The candidate would teach ARC community lifeguard and CPR classes as well as assist the Recreation Supervisor with aquatic team trainings and in-services.  Work hours vary; pay rate is $23-$27.90 hr.   Applicants must submit an employment application at www.mansfieldct.gov/jobapp. Position open until filled.
