Outreach Social Worker (PT) - Human Services Department
The Town of Mansfield is seeking applicants for our part-time Outreach Social Worker position. The Outreach Social Worker will primarily work in the support and assistance of older adults with personal, social, health and economic needs. Sample duties include assessing client needs, conducting home and office visits with clients, and determining available programs and services.
Position is 19 hrs/wk. Hiring rate is $26.47 - $34.38 per hour and is dependent upon the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. Candidates are required to have a bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field. Two or more years experience working with seniors in a similar setting and a master’s degree in social work are highly desirable. The selected candidate will be subject to a background check.

Mansfield Parks & Recreation is currently accepting applications for multiple positions with Camp Mansfield 2015. Employment and wages are based on prior experience working at camps (or working with children), related job experience, facility experience (i.e. babysitting in home vs. day camp at recreation center), supervisory experience, education, certifications, past job evaluations and years working (for returning staff) at the Mansfield Parks and Recreation Department. All pay rates are subject to change. Work hours: General camp program operates Monday - Friday, 8:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m. A before and after camp care program operates Monday-Friday, 7:30–8:45 a.m. and 3:15–5:30 p.m. Most general day camp staff will be required to work some camp care hours. KinderCamp Specialist: Responsible for overseeing staff and program for children entering kindergarten. This half and full day program includes a variety of outdoor and indoor passive and active recreation activities. Pay rate is $9.74-$11.84
Camp Specialists: Designs and conducts specific activities in conjunction with entire camp program. Nature, Arts & Crafts, Variety, Sports, Games, Archery and Boating/Canoeing. Designs and instructs specialized activities for all camper age groups. Pay rate is $9.40-$11.42
Adventurer Specialists: Designs and leads activities and trips with an adventure emphasis for children in grades 7, 8 & 9. Includes independent planning of two day trips and one overnight per session. Pay rate is $9.40-$11.42
Camp Supports Specialists: Is a 1:1 or small group counselor to children with special needs. Children participate inclusively within camp groups. Prior experience with children with special needs is helpful but not required. Pay rate is $9.74-11.84
Counselors: Responsible for supervising an age group of children in grades K-6. Planning and leading a variety of passive and active games. Responsible for leading groups and participating in a variety of outdoor and indoor activities. Pay rate is $9.15-$10.73
Youth Lacrosse Leaders – Mansfield Parks and Recreation seeking Youth Lacrosse Leaders to provide general, introductory lacrosse skill instruction to children in grades K-2. An interest and ability to lead young children and work with parent volunteers is required along with general knowledge of the game of lacrosse. Must be available Saturday mornings 9:30am-11:30am, April 4-May 2, 2015. $17.00-$20.66 per hour.
