One thing that COVID-19 has not interfered with? Gardens everywhere! This summer, people across the nation have turned to gardening as a healthy pastime. The Mansfield Senior Center’s “Pizza Garden” has been coming along nicely! So far, we have been able to harvest several of our vegetables and herbs, including: yellow squash, cucumbers, eggplant, tomatoes, jalapeno peppers, Swiss chard, basil Genovese, Thai basil, anise hyssop, sage mint, eucalyptus, and chamomile.
Here are the wonderful volunteers who come to the garden regularly, many thanks, Joan Doiron and Nancy Yantz!
