“Fifty Years After: Songs and History, 1969”
Thursday, October 3, 2019
Rick Spencer and Dawn Indermuehle will present their arrangements of songs that were on the pop charts or presented at Woodstock in 1969. They also discuss some of the major events of a year that was historically and culturally rich.
Rick and Dawn’s theme-based music and history program gives cultural insight into this interesting time in American history. They carefully craft their vocals and accompaniment to sound as true to a song’s era or style as possible. Rick and Dawn use these songs to illustrate the evolution of our nation’s culture and history in an informative and entertaining way. This program is free and open to the public.
Funding for this library program is provided by the Friends of the Mansfield Library.
