Kahana Hula

Saturday, July 16, 2022

Experience the "Aloha Spirit" in this program featuring stories, music and traditional Hawaiian Hula.

Hula dancer and storyteller Tiare Kahana’s mission is to “share aloha, one smile at a time.” This beautiful program presents the traditional Hawaiian way of expressing greeting, affection, kinship and connection with all others. Tiare will perform and explain Hula, the ancient practice that serves to perpetuate the history and traditions of Hawaii. She’ll teach the audience some hula as well, and share stories and information from Polynesian culture. She'll be joined by musician/singer and expert ukulele player Tom Stankus, whose own musical gifts  embody the "Aloha Spirit!" This family program will delight people of all ages. Thanks to the Connecticut Humanities Council for their support of this program.  For more information visit
