On Wednesday, May 28 Mansfield Public Schools conducted its lottery for remaining open slots in the full-day PreK at Mansfield Elementary School for School Year 2025-26.
Of 55 families who entered the lottery, 30 children were selected based on random selection The selection was weighted for those children in need as determined through federal Free/Reduced student meal guidelines. Sixteen seats were filled outside of the lottery through special education services.
Families are receiving personal notification from the MES Principals, and the registration process will be initiated, including gathering proof of residency and other information.
Please note: Those families who were not selected are placed on a wait list. It is still very possible that some students may be placed in an open seat over the summer as families’ plans change.
