Calling all dance lovers and dancers-to-be! We're excited to welcome UConn's University Ballet Company to the Library with an introduction to their upcoming performance of "Sleeping Beauty."
We're excited to welcome UConn's University Ballet Company to the Library with an introduction to their upcoming performance of "Sleeping Beauty."
Dancers in costume will present an excerpt from the ballet, and explain the story. After a short performance of excerpts from the ballet, children will get the chance to learn some ballet steps themselves as well as hear the story of the ballet, hold a real pair of pointe shoes, and take pictures with the UBC ballerinas!
The University Ballet Company is a student-led company founded by senior Angelia Prip. Many of them have been dancing for years and some have trained with major companies. But they also welcome anyone with a curiosity and love for dance, from beginners to experienced dancers. Please join us as they share their love of dancing with us!
