[ARCHIVED] Bus Delays Thursday afternoon

school-bus

Good afternoon Mansfield Families:

M & J Bus Co. just informed us that the following four buses will not run this afternoon:  Bus 1, 4, 8, 9.   Students who take these buses will wait at their schools with staff until buses are available after other runs.  Delays will be significant.  The bus company did not provide us with any approximate times, but we estimate the delays to exceed an hour or more after dismissal times.  The cancellation of these buses are due to driver shortages.  Families are encouraged, if possible, to pick up students.

This is extremely disappointing news and we apologize.  While other runs will follow projected schedules, we understand that the families of these buses will experience significant delays.

Please contact your child's school should you want to adjust the dismissal plans.

We do not have any information regarding tomorrow's transportation.  However, we are anticipating that the continued shortage will impact runs tomorrow, and we will update you.

Sincerely,

Peter Dart, Superintendent of Schools
