Mansfield Senior Center and Fire Department Produce Video about Fall Prevention
March 19 ,2024– Mansfield, CT— The Mansfield Senior Center and the Mansfield Fire Department have collaborated on the production of a fall prevention video to help inform community members. On Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 4:00 PM the Mansfield Senior Center will premier the informational, but fun video that stars local Mansfield Senior Center members.

This event is open to the community, in hopes of bringing more awareness to this important issue. Those interested in attending are asked to please call the Mansfield Senior Center at 860-429-0292 to pre-register.
The Centers for Disease Control states that falls are a major risk for older Americans and are the leading cause of both fatal and nonfatal injuries for people 65 and older. However, the good news is that fall-related injuries are usually preventable by taking some easy steps. This fall prevention video will inform seniors, caregivers, and their families about easy, affordable and manageable ways to prevent falls.
The mission of the Mansfield Senior Center is to provide a wide variety of programs and services designed to meet the diverse and ever-changing needs of Seniors in our community. The Center works to provide an open and accepting atmosphere, create and provide ongoing opportunities for lifelong learning, encourage and support independence, and promote interconnectedness and civic engagement within our community. Affordable home-cooked meals, social opportunities, learning programs, performances, local trips, a library, support programs, and other services are offered at the Center at 303 Maple Road.
