[ARCHIVED] School Messenger Notification System Test

cell-phone-notification

The Mansfield Schools use the School Messenger system for notifying families and staff in the event of a delayed opening/closing or other urgent/emergency message.  This system includes messages sent via SMS text, phone, and email.  Messages are sent to the cell and home phone numbers and the email addresses on file with the school office.  To receive text messages you must opt-in to the system.  Please complete the “opt-in” process below (even if you opt in, you still need to be a a parent/guardian of a child in our school system (or a staff member) to actually receive real notifications).

  • Send a text to 67587 from your cell phone(s) with the word “yes”.

We highly encourage you to complete this process as it provides us with one more way to reach you in the event of an urgent/emergency message.

We will test this system on Monday, November 11, at 7:05pm. You will receive a phone call at the cell and home phone number(s) that the school office has on file for your family, as well as a SMS text message, and an email.

If you are a parent of a child in our school district (or a staff member in our school district), and you do not receive the test this Monday evening, please report it to your school office so that we can be certain we have the correct contact information for your family on file.
