For added fun, make sure to check back regularly for our Boredom Busters series; creating a little community unity as we distract from distancing.
April 27 to May 3 - It’s May Day Week!
Hey Mansfield Community, May Day and the international tradition of celebrating spring is right around the corner. So, how about turning a small corner outside your home into a small display of unity and togetherness! While we May not be able to dance around the maypole with neighbors and friends we welcome you to decorate a mailbox/mailbox area between April 27-May 3 with anything spring OR decorating your front door/door area. Plant some flowers around your mail box or doorway, add spring decorations or a sign of togetherness.
Share Your Spirit Contest!
Too add a little fun and community unity, send us a photo of your decorated mail box or front door area along with your street address (optional). We will post it to our social media sites. You can also post your photo to the Mansfield Community Center Facebook yourself if you prefer! Families and individuals can drive around Mansfield seeking out shared displays until May 10. The family who can tell us how many sites they found (honor system applies) while traveling around town wins free guest passes at the Mansfield Community Center. Already a member? Share them with friends, even better!
Please note: by submitting photos, you agree to let Mansfield Parks and Recreation use your photos in the future.
Looking forward to the next Boredom Buster? Watch for clues of what’s coming next!
