94747355_2831973930172075_6305055902273634304_n

UPDATE:  June 26, 2020

In an effort to continue taking precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Town hall will remain closed to the public. Tax payments can be sent through the mail, processed online (for a fee), or put in our secure drop box located near our office. For special circumstances, we will be accepting visitors by appointment only.

As a reminder, per the Executive Order 7-S authorized by Governor Lamont, we have elected to give our residents an extension to pay their personal, motor vehicle and real estate taxes until October 1, 2020. After this point interest will accrue at a rate of 1.5% per month starting from the original due date. No application process is necessary.

Non-residents, such as landlords and commercial properties have to apply and be approved for the deferment program. The application form is available on our department’s website.

Please contact the Tax / Revenue Collections Office for more information.

On Monday April 13th, The Town Council voted to defer the due date of all tax and sewer bills that come due between 4/1/20 and 7/1/20. This deferment program gives all taxpayers 3 months to pay without penalty instead of 1 month. Taxes that are escrowed with a mortgage company and normally paid by the bank are still due within 1 month of the bill date. Sewer bills that went out for 4/1/20 will not be delinquent until after 7/1/20, and tax bills that go out for 7/1/20 will not be delinquent until after 10/1/20. Please contact the Revenue Office with any questions at 860-429-3307
