[ARCHIVED] Mansfield Avenue - Road Construction

The Mansfield Department of Public Works has hired a contractor to grind and grade the roadway in preparation of new asphalt. This work is scheduled for Thursday, June 4, 2020 during the hours of 7:00am to 4:00pm and will be on Mansfield Avenue between Pleasant Valley Road and the Willimantic Town Line. We ask that you do not park on the road during this effort. You will always have access to your driveway. However, when the equipment is directly in front of your driveway, access may be restricted for a few minutes. Please drive with caution during the course of this work.

After final grading is complete, a contractor hired by the Town will apply new asphalt to the street surface. Driveway aprons will be repaired or installed, as required. We will place topsoil in any disturbed lawn areas and use hydro-seeding to re-establish any turf. This portion of the work will occur a few weeks after paving is complete.

If you have any questions, please call the Administrative Office at 860-429-3331.
