How can you participate? Click here for a Video Introduction
Start by talking as a family about what is meant by human rights. The Mansfield Public Library has a shelf of relevant children’s books for you to check out. You can talk about the United Nations Universal Human Rights attached to this document or click here, here or here for different versions of the United Nations Universal Human Rights.
Choose a universal human right that your family would like to illustrate on the tagboard (available at the Mansfield Library). Make a plan and work together using any materials that you have at your house--crayons, paint, tissue paper, fabric, glue.
Share your finished project with Mansfield Library by Friday, August 14th. You can return your artwork to the Mansfield Library or send a photo to: mansfieldlibrary@manfieldct.org. Please complete the submission form attached to this document so we can learn about your process.
Finished artwork will be displayed on lawn signs at the Mansfield Library and perhaps other Mansfield locations.
