The Mansfield Department of Public Works has hired a contractor to grind and grade the roadway in preparation of new asphalt. The grading and paving project on Hillyndale Road will begin near Thompson Road and head towards Separatist Road. The grading portion of this project is scheduled for Monday, August 24th and will continue until Friday August 28th during the hours of 7:00am to 5:00pm, weather permitting. After final grading is complete, a contractor hired by the Town will apply asphalt to the street surface.
We ask that you do not park on the road during this effort. You will always have access to your driveway. However, when the equipment is directly in front of your driveway, access may be restricted for a few minutes. Please drive with caution during the course of this work.
Any required curbing will be installed and driveway aprons will be repaired or installed, as required. We will place topsoil in any disturbed lawn areas and use hydro-seeding to re-establish any turf. This portion of the work will occur a few weeks after all paving is complete.
