Per the Executive Order 9R authorized by Governor Lamont, we have elected to give our residents an extension to pay their taxes. Personal, Motor Vehicle and Real Estate taxes originally due on January 1, 2021 will have until April 1, 2021 to pay their taxes in full. After this point interest will accrue at a rate of 1.5% per month starting from the original due date. No application process is necessary for town residents.
Non-residents, such as property owners and commercial properties have to apply and be approved for the deferment program by January 31, 2021. The application form is available on our department’s website.
