Mansfield: Your Place to Grow!

Mansfield is your place to grow!

The Town of Mansfield has a population of 13,000 residents year-round, is located 25 miles northeast of the state capital of Hartford, and is the home of the main campus of the University of Connecticut. Mansfield is a vibrant, diverse, and caring community that offers unique cultural, recreational, and educational opportunities.

Mansfield Public Schools serves just over 1,000 Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8 students. Students entering 9th grade attend E. O. Smith which is a local regional high school.  The public schools of Mansfield consist of Mansfield Elementary School for students in grades pre-kindergarten through fourth grade, and Mansfield Middle School for grades five through eight.  Mansfield Public Schools Central Office is located within the Town Office building at 4 South Eagleville Road, Storrs-Mansfield, CT 06268.

The District is governed by a nine-member Board of Education that typically meets the second Thursday evening of the month during the school year at the municipal building (some months it meets more frequently). Times and agenda items are published here on our website. The public is welcome to attend meetings and the Board seeks your input and involvement.
