The Mansfield Public Schools maintains and updates this Internet webpage with an inventory of online software that includes student data to ensure that these products meet State of Connecticut data privacy practices. Additionally, this page is used to post any State of Connecticut required breach of security notifications. As the owner of the District's computer systems, the Board manages, monitors, and if needed restricts and/or prohibits the use of the District’s computers and computer systems. 

On October 1, 2016, Public Act 16-189, became state law.  This new law instructed Connecticut school districts to take inventory of online services to ensure that they meet strict data privacy requirements.  This inventory is provided to you in this document.  The law requires that districts increase notification to parents through postings on the school’s website as well as notifications.  Following the original house bill, Public Act 17-200 altered some provisions of the original bill.  For more information, please visit the Connecticut Commission for Educational Technology.
