The Director of Planning administers and coordinates the activities of the town’s planning and development functions.

Police
The State Police is responsible for providing law enforcement coverage, including patrol services, in 81 towns that either do not have an organized police department or have agreed to let the State Police supervise their police officers or constables. It provides the coverage through 11 troops operating from barracks across the state. Each troop is responsible for several towns.

Registrar of Voters
As provided by law, the Registrars of Voters maintain the voter registration records for the Town of Mansfield.

Senior Center
The Mansfield Senior Center is open to residents and non-residents aged 55 and above and their spouses. There are no membership fees.

Tax/Revenue Collections
The Revenue Collection Division is responsible for the billing and collection of taxes, sewer assessments and use charges, special assessments, miscellaneous collectibles, refuse removal fees, the Health District quarterly bills, and the self pay medical and life insurance bills for retirees.

Town Clerk
The Office of the Town Clerk is a major source of information for residents, visitors, and other Town departments and performs several State-required duties including recording, indexing and maintaining all land records and maps; conducting the absentee ballot program; maintaining a record of elected and appointed officials; issuing dog and sports licenses; providing copies of documents and records as requested; filing liquor permits, veteran discharge papers and trade name certificates; processing permits for raffles and games of chance; recording and certifying the appointments of other notaries; and filing and maintaining all agendas, schedules and minutes for the Town's boards and commissions. Town Clerks also serve as Registrars of Vital Statistics and record, index, maintain, and issue birth, marriage, and death records as well as burial permits.

Town Manager
The Town Manager is appointed by the Town Council to serve as the chief executive officer of the town, and is charged with overseeing all town departments and for carrying out policies enacted by the Council.
